My Pricing overview

Intro to My Pricing

XactPRM includes pricing on more than 10,000 line items to help you create accurate estimates, but sometimes for specific line items you want to use your own price instead. My Pricing is a feature that allows you to create your own price list that overwrites XactPRM prices for XactPRM line items.

Creating a My Pricing list

  1. Navigate to the My Pricing tab.
  2. Click the Add button.
  3. Enter a name for your My Pricing list and click SAVE.
  4. Search for and add the line items that you would like to include within your My Pricing list. Note that line items you add have a Pricing Type set to "Custom $" and a Unit Price that shows "Xactware Price". This means these line item are currently set to use XactPRM's default pricing.
  5. In the Added Items grid, click on a line item that you would like to modify.
    To enter a specific price, leave the Pricing Type as "Custom $" and type in your desired prices in the Unit Price column.
    To enter a markup, change the Pricing Type to "Markup %" and type in the desired markup.
    In addition to adjusting line item prices, you can also edit the line item descriptions.
  6. Repeat step 5 until all line items have been customized as desired.

Modifying a My Pricing list

  1. Navigate to the My Pricing tab.
  2. Select the My Pricing list you would like to modify
  3. Search for and add the line items that you would like to include within your My Pricing list. Note that line items you add have a Pricing Type set to "Custom $" and a Unit Price that shows "Xactware Price". This means these line item are currently set to use XactPRM's default pricing.
  4. In the Added Items grid, click on a line item that you would like to modify.
    To enter a specific price, leave the Pricing Type as "Custom $" and type in your desired prices in the Unit Price column.
    To enter a markup, change the Pricing Type to "Markup %" and type in the desired markup.
    In addition to adjusting line item prices, you can also edit the line item descriptions.
  5. Repeat step 4 until all line items have been customized as desired. You can also delete line items that are no longer needed by checking the box next to them and clicking the Delete icon at the top right.

Using My Pricing lists

  1. Open a project and go to the Pricing tab.
  2. In the Pricing Adjustments section, select the My Pricing list you would like to use. After setting a list, you may be prompted to reprice the project.
    If the My Pricing field is greyed out, this indicates the My Pricing feature has been disabled by the profile owner.
  3. Navigate to the Estimate tab.
  4. Search for line items.
    My Pricing items that appear in the search results are displayed with a gray background. You can think of the gray background as a signal that points yourself or other estimators to "preferred" items that should be used.
  5. Add line items. Prices and descriptions that were modified as a result of My Pricing settings will be displayed in green text.
